		You're killing me, Smalls. posted on 2010-03-15 17:07:28 Hey everyone! Welcome! Thank you for sending my site through a spin! Most of you are here because of Line Simulator, I supposed. I finally got it up here, no thanks you to all graciously crashing my site. It will still probably be on and off for a while. Just keep trying! Thank you all for enjoying my game, for what it's worth. If anything, you've all inspired me to keep making point-and-click adventures. As complementary as it is, you guys are visiting my site so much, I had to upgrade my hosting account and it's still fragile. I can't think of anything else to say other than thank you! Here's how crazy my weekend was: On Saturday around 1:00 my time, I submit Line Simulator to Newgrounds. I watch it for a little bit and it's doing pretty well, but at 3:00, I left for a short vacation in Chicago. We finally get there around 9ish, and I hook my netbook up to their "high-speed" 40 kb/s internet connection and respond to some reviews. Most of them were positive and I was happy to see the average review score hovering around 9/10. Come Midnight, I'm watching SNL (not a regular practice for me...) and my friend texts me telling me it placed second on Newgrounds. Next day, I go to a Blackhawks game (they lost but it was really awesome anyway), Sears (Willis) Tower, etc. When I return to my hotel room it turns out the game is on the front page of Newgrounds! I look at my site stats and they've gone up 400%, and I go to sleep, very satisfied. I drive 5 hours and finally get home. I log onto my site to update my post and lo and behold, my site is crashed! Best 3 days of my life, regardless of how hectic... I'm just glad you all enjoyed it so much! So while I'm very happy that you all are here, I had to spend some extra cash to get it back online. I don't think it'll work, but I'm supplying this donation button. Why would I put it up if I don't think it'll work? Because I had banner ads. I thought about it, and I thought about putting ads at the beginning of the game, but it doesn't work for me. It doesn't fit the flow of my website or the style of the game. If you have an extra $2 even, just laying around... I mean, it's no big deal...
